Onam Festival

Onam is a major harvest festival in Kerala celebrated by those of all religions (Hindus, Christians, Muslims). My husband is Catholic and his family always celebrates. It is technically a Hindu festival but is regarded as a tradition/cultural festival as well.

Sadhya is a Keralite vegetarian feast and includes a large variety of dishes. It’s often served on a large banana leaf. This type of feast is served during special occasions like weddings or during Onam.
