I have made the most perfect gluten-free brownies, ever. That’s right, ever. They’re perfectly fudgy, soft, delicious and they hold their shape. My junk-food lovin’ husband couldn’t believe they were grain-free and paleo-friendly – he even compared them to the Ghirardelli brownies he used to enjoy eating before he married me. Besides tasting amazing, these brownies also happen to be ridiculously easy to make. You blend everything up in a blender, fold in some dairy-free chocolate chips, pour the batter into a pan (this is the one I used), and bake. I call these delicious fudgy, cakey treats: Blender Brownies (creative, I know).
I’m in a celebratory mood this month so I wanted to do a really cool giveaway for you guys. I’ve teamed up with Blendtec to offer one of my lucky readers the chance to win a blender. I have this same one and love, love, love it.
Why am I celebrating? Two reasons.
First, Roby and I celebrated our dating anniversary yesterday (yes, that’s a thing… even if you’re married). We’ve been together for 8 years (married for over a year and a half).
Second, I’ll be celebrating my blog’s 1 year anniversary later this month! When I entered the blogging world a year ago, never did I think I’d be writing for over a million readers every month. Whenever I stop to think about that, it kinda blows my mind. You guys are awesome – thank you for making my first year as a blogger so welcoming. I have some pretty exciting plans for this upcoming year and I can’t wait to share them with you.
Enjoy these brownies and let me know what you think of them! Remember, they’re super easy to make – just blend, pour & bake!
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients:
- 2 ½ cups almond flour
- ¼ cup coconut flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ cup cacao powder
- ½ tsp salt
Wet ingredients
- ½ cup coconut milk canned and full fat
- 2/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbs ghee
- ½ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350º F and lightly grease the bottom and sides of a glass baking dish or a brownie pan with ghee.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all of the dry ingredients.
- Add the wet ingredients to your blender – and blend until smooth.
- Pour in the dry ingredients and blend until smooth.
- Mix in the chocolate chips and then pour the batter into the pan.*
- Bake for 25 minutes – or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting.
- Store brownies in a container in the fridge.

Where is the recipe!?😁
My Heart Beets says
I’m so sorry, my recipes are only showing up on desktop/laptop and not on mobile devices at the moment – I’m in the middle of a website update so this should be resolved asap!
Brenda says
Delicious and easy. I can’t use a blender as I live in the middle of nowhere with only solar power, so I used a folk to mix and it still came out as YUMMY
My Heart Beets says
Awesome! I’m so happy to hear that! Really curious, did you cook these with a solar oven?
Delightfully wholesome says
Can I substitute Dates or apple sauce for the banana?
Linda says
I’ve made this several times and it is so easy to make and delicious! One of my favorite dessert recipes along with the German chocolate cupcakes. I’ve tried decreasing the maple syrup to just 1/3 cup and it was sweet enough for me. I’ve also tried putting in more chocolate chips maybe 1/4 cup more and that made it extra chocolatey which I loved! Thanks for the great recipes Ashley!
My Heart Beets says
Thanks for letting me know how much you like the brownies, Linda! 🙂
Laika says
Hi Ashley,
Quick question-
When you blend everything together isn’t it too thick?
I usually blend the wet ingredients and pour it into the dry and hand mix it all.
I have a vitamix
I never quick got the consistency that is shown in the pic. When blending it.
Unless I add less almond flour or add more coconut milk.
It comes out great either ways!!!
My Heart Beets says
You can make it either way, whatever you find easier!
Laika says
Hi Ashley,
Celebrating hubbys bday with your super yum brownies!
?
My Heart Beets says
Awesome! Happy birthday to your hubby! 🙂
Lulu says
Really excellent! You’re husband is spot on–they are reminiscent of the Ghirardelli brownies. We used to buy the giant box at Costco. Lol. A long time ago….
My Heart Beets says

I’m making these today! I’m curious about the picture showing parchment paper in the pan. Do you have a trick for lining the pan? I struggle with that.
Marianna says
These brownies are the real deal! They taste amazing! I didn’t have a ripe banana so I used 1/3 cup of mashed sweet potato. I accidentally added the chocolate chips with the wet ingredients before I had blended the wet ingredients all together, but it turned out really good still. Thanks so much for the recipe! =)
My Heart Beets says
Marianna, so glad you like the recipe! Thank you for letting me know how they turned out for you. I love the idea of using sweet potato instead of banana 🙂
Sugandha says
Hi,
Me and my husband are following Paleo diet these days. The Brownie recipe mentioned looks interesting and tempting. Just a question though. For how long can this be refrigerated?
Tammy Floyd says
Maybe I overlooked it , but what size baking dish did you use?
My Heart Beets says
Hi Tammy, I’m sorry for the late reply – I used this dish – an 11x7inch. I hope that helps! Let me know how this turns out for you!
Jessica says
I made these yesterday. Easy to make and they taste delicious. They are also kinda fudgy as described 😉 I tried them at 3 temperatures: hot from the oven, at room temp and out of the fridge. Cold from the fridge is definitely my favorite way of enjoying these, which is the opposite with regular brownies that I prefer still hot from the oven !
Akbar says
You need to publish a Paleo Cookbook – your recipes are all amazing! I’ve made several of them these last few months and all have been easy to make and absolutely delicious! I am especially partial to your paleo naan… #yum
