My eBOOK is here!! I am so excited to introduce…

South Asian Persuasion: 100+ Grain-free, Paleo-friendly recipes

Yes, you can have your Naan and Eat it too!

I have been working on this eCookbook for nearly a year – trying new recipes, testing and then re-testing them. There are some recipes in here that I didn’t think I could recreate to be grain-free or paleo-friendly… but I did. And they turned out SO well.

In this eBook, you’ll find 100+ Paleo Indian recipes, which means that ALL recipes in this eBook are gluten-free, grain-free, lactose-free, casein-free. The ONLY dairy used in this eBook is GHEE, a Paleo-friendly fat (that you can substitute if you really need to).

Here are some brand new recipes that I’m really excited about:

  • Coconut Flour Naan (this recipe also calls for tapioca)
  • Gulab Jamun (2 versions, one is nut-free!)
  • Jalebis (omg…)
  • Pakoras (two types!)
  • Dairy-free PANEER (gasp!)
  • Dosas (what?! yes!)
  • Dairy-free Dahi
  • Dahi Vada
  • Vadas
  • Papri Chaat (ahhhmazing)
  • Chicken Tikka
  • Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala
  • Chicken Korma (Yaasss!)
  • Chilli Chicken (spicy fried chicken!)
  • Chicken Rezala (Indian Chicken Alfredo)
  • Murgh Musallam (stunner)
  • Biryani
  • Gobi Musallam (the emoticon with hearts for eyes)
  • Vindaloo
  • Rogan Josh
  • Keema
  • AND so much more!

You can see the FULL table of contents right here.

    Hi Ashley,

I truly wish a hard copy print of your Asian Persuasion could be available, for those who prefer not to be dealing with screens in regards to recipes.
Any plans to self publish one in the future?
Thank you for all the work you that you put into your recipes!!!
    Elisa

Hi Elisa! Thank you so much for the interest! I’m not sure if I’ll self publish this ebook… to be honest, self publishing is pretty costly (as I learned after self publishing my Indian Food Under Pressure cookbook) and with the 100+ recipes in this ebook, the amount I’d have to charge for the actual book to just break even would be far too high. I know it’s a pain but I have heard from others who have printed this out and got it bound at a local print shop/staples/etc.

I have tried the Coconut Bread. It was well liked by friends.
The Shrimp and Pineapple recipe was light and good.
The Caramel Cashew cookies are good. .
The Masala biscuits taste just like Pakoras.

I have a question about the Chicken Rezala. It said Coconut Cream and I bought a can of it but it was really sweet. Did you mean the can of Coconut Cream or the stuff from the top of the can of coconut milk. Does the Shahi Mushroom recipe take the stuff from the top of the coconut milk or the sweet Coconut Cream can?

    • My Heart Beets says

Jill, I’m so glad you’ve tried and like so many recipes from this ebook! When I say “coconut cream” in the book, I’m talking about the cream at the top of a can of full-fat coconut milk (not the sweet kind). I’d love to hear how the rezala turns out for you!

      • Jill says

I was waiting on your info to try the Shahi Mushrooms but in the meantime, I tried the Chicken Do Pyaza last night. Another hit. Have to go to the Indian grocery store in get the fennel seeds. My normal grocery store didn’t have them for the mushroom recipe.

I made the chicken rezala originally with the sweet one. Weird but everyone asked for seconds. I think I will like the less sweet version better.

        • My Heart Beets says

Jill, I’m so happy to hear that you liked the chicken do pyaza dish! And lol good to know that people liked it even with the sweet cream but yes, I think you’ll like the less sweet one better too. Let me know what you think!

I bought this cookbook 2 days ago and love it. The pictures are beautiful, the instructions are so simple and easy to understand that it’s put me at ease learning how to cook Indian food (which I thought would be very difficult).
I made the Paleo Naan last night and it was SO amazing. My husband does NOT like coconut milk (and this recipe uses a lot of it) so i was nervous – but he didn’t even notice…said it was delicious and asked if we could use this all the time, not just for Indian dishes but taco night, breakfast foods, everything!
I cannot wait to dive into more recipes, Ashley thank you for making such a lovely, and easy to understand cookbook! AND for making delicious Indian recipes that aren’t full of grains/legumes or reliant on serving with grains/legumes!! Woohoo!
P.S. I also love that it’s electronic – I can see it on all my devices and can make notes, highlight, bookmark just like a hard cover book without the extra space it takes up!! Thanks.

I am so glad I found this website on Pinterest! I have been waiting for a book like this forever. Purchasing it now 🙂

Okay, seriously excited!! I love cooking and creating my own recipes, but can’t seem to follow a recipe to save my life. When my hubby and I tried the Whole 30, I found your site and can actually cook your recipes…and they taste AMAZING! (normally, my husband says, “did you try a recipe dear?”). I’ve seriously told everyone…to the point they think I’m nuts…about your site. We live in New Zealand and Indian is super popular here, but obviously, not normally the healthiest choice. Can’t wait to buy the book and expand my Indian repertoire!

I made the Shrikand today from your eBook. I used full fat Greek Yogurt (what I had in the fridge). It’s really good. Love that it’s not overly sweet like some versions I’ve had.

    Hi Ashley!

Your cookbook looks amazing! I can’t wait to start cooking with it. I had one question. I couldn’t tell from your blogs but do you also avoid legumes (lentils, chic peas, etc) in all your recipes? I hope so because I’ve been avoiding this food group.

  8. Renee says

Hi! I purchased your book but can’t find it on either of my devises. I looked in my Kindle and looked for the “App” symbol. Where does t go?

    • My Heart Beets says

Hi Renee! Thanks so much for your support! I actually just emailed you a copy of the eBook – it should have been emailed to you as a link for you to download onto your computer. I suggest saving it to your computer first and then using a usb to get it onto your kindle/ipad. You can use any app that will read a PDF 🙂 Let me know what you think of the recipes!!

YAY!!!! This is what I’ve been waiting for. My sister and I have chosen six recipes to try this weekend. So excited. My one wish is that this had been a physical book. To hold in my hands. But hey, I’ll take it any way I can get it!
