Apple Cinnamon N’Oatmeal (No Oats!)

Apple Cinnamon N'Oatmeal (no oats!) by Ashley Thomas of MyHeartBeets.com

Now that I know how easy it is to make myself a big bowl of n’oatmeal, I’ve been eating it almost every morning! I love experimenting with different flavor combinations and since apple season is in full swing, I figured, why not make an apple cinnamon n’oatmeal? Warm cereal is so comforting on chilly mornings (or afternoons/evenings). My favorite part about eating this n’oatmeal is that there’s really no need for extra sweetener. The natural sweetness from the apple and the nut milk is enough. You can always add a little maple syrup for something more dessert-like. And yes, warm cereal is a perfectly acceptable dessert… or snack.

If you’ve never had n’oatmeal before, it’s basically oatmeal made without oats. I really think all of my n’oatmeal recipes taste just as good as the real thing. Actually, I think my recipes taste better. I just love my banana nut n’oatmeal and my cinnamon raisin n’oatmeal, so after you make this apple version, make sure to try the other two too!

Is there any substitute for the pecans or is that the foundation of this no oat oatmeal?
My husband is mildly allergic to pecans…and I think my son is, too.

I just tried this and oh…my…god it is amazing! Oats bother my stomach so I use them rarely in recipes and have been really missing that replacement.
It is a cold, rainy, fall day here in Niagara and it was the perfect warm breakfast. I also have a bunch of pears that I would love to use in place of the apple tomorrow 🙂 Thanks for another awesome recipe 🙂
