This tandoori lamb meatloaf might just be the best and most flavorful meatloaf ever. It’s made with ground lamb with onion, garlic, serrano pepper, spices and a handful of mint. Slathered with an Indian spiced sweet and spicy ketchup and you’ve got one very flavorful tandoori lamb meatloaf.
Mint adds a fresh flavor to this dish, and we all know mint and lamb just go well together. Don’t skip it when making this meatloaf.
I use organic tomato paste in this recipe to add a strong tomato flavor to the meatloaf and also to give it a pretty red tandoori color. I also use the paste to make an easy and tasty spiced ketchup topping.
Meatloaf is comfort food, It’s a filling, hearty and meaty meal. It’s also great for anyone on a budget since all you really need to make it are ground meat and a handful of ingredients.
This tandoori lamb meatloaf is a slightly fancier version of regular meatloaf. It’s delicious and a breeze to make. You just mix all your meatloaf ingredients together, put it into a greased loaf pan and bake for an hour. Take it out of the oven and spread some homemade ketchup on top and then put it back in the oven for another 10 minutes. The hardest part about making this meal… is waiting for it to be done.

Made this after looking for an alternative to my go-to lamb – mustard meatloaf and rosemary lamb meatloaf. It was a nice break. The spices were subtle and really compliment the lamb well. Roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Delicious.

This was a great recipe!! I had some grass-fed lamb on hand I didn’t know what to do with – it turned out so well I’m ordering all the ingredients from Fresh Direct and making it again for dinner next week! Thank you Ashley

Hey Ashley! This is another awesome recipe! I didn’t have lamb on hand so I swapped it for beef – it was great. Fun fact: this was the first beef dish my 6 month old son ever tried. I couldn’t believe it – he wanted more after his first bite. pretty good for never having spice other than cinnamon! Thanks!
My Heart Beets says
Thanks, Kelley!! And wow I’m so glad he liked the recipe!! Thanks so much for sharing that with me 🙂

Yummy, yummy, yummy!! Had some left over so had it for breakfast with a fried egg, left out the cloves (not a lover) and added taragon as we didn’t have any mint, totally awesome, will be making this again!

Sublime! Just so delicious. We made this last night. We used grass-fed ground beef instead of lamb, and Thai bird chiles instead of Serrano. Thank you so much for this yummy creation, it will be a part of our regular rotation from now on. The special blend of spices was just so magical. I could tell by the fantastic aroma while it was baking it was gonna be a really good one.
